PUTRAJAYA– Malaysia’s latest tourism attraction may not be its sandy white beaches or lush jungles, but a young Malaysian attempting to break several records for being the youngest pilot to travel solo around the world in a tiny, single-engine Cessna 210 Silver Eagle aircraft.

Ten years ago, Kuala Lumpur ceded a corner of its busiest shopping hub on Jalan Bukit Bintang to make way for an Arab Street lined with barbers, groceries and a restaurant serving authentic Middle Eastern fare. Dato Mohd Khalid Harun, President of the Asean Tourism Association (ASEANTA) and the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA), as well as Patron of the World Islamic Tourism Mart (WITM), confirmed that during WITM, held from June 6-9, 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, the World Islamic Tourism Council will be announced and established.

In 2012, the World Islamic Tourism Mart and Malaysian International Tourism Exchange were organized separately by two organizations. This year I can see that you joined forces. Can you tell me more about this?
