SABAH REMAINS A MAJOR DOMESTIC TOURISM DESTINATION

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah continues to be the choice among domestic tourists in the country, which speaks volume of the state’s unique  attractions, Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai said.He said that a study by budget carrier AirAsia last year showed that domestic tourists were coming in large number to Sabah, a state known for its rich natural and cultural heritage.

“It is our responsibility to ensure Sabah and Kota Kinabalu city remain a celebrated place,” he said when opening the exhibition on “The Story of Kota Kinabalu – Past, Present and Future” at the Kota Kinabalu multipurpose hall here yesterday.

The exhibition is organised by the Kota Kinabalu City Hall in conjunction with its 10th anniversary.
