MATF'10 OFFERS AIRFARE DISCOUNTS TO 49 DESTINATIONS WORLDWIDE

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair 2010 (MATF'10) is back with low fares, and great deals of up to 75 per cent discount to 49 destinations worldwide await travellers.

Coming to its 7th year, the MATF'10 would run from tomorrow to March 7, with travel period starting from March 24 until Jan 14, next year.

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) senior general manager (sales) Datuk Bernard Francis said, to make it convenient to customers, tickets could be purchased via www.malaysiaairlines.com, the airlines' ticketing offices and travel agents.

"This is a good opportunity for customers to grab value deals for air travel and vacations while enjoying Malaysian hospitality at the same time," he said in a statement.

MAS would also be extending these offers to its customers in Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, where the fair would run concurrently, he said.

Customers can purchase one-way airfares to any destination in Asia; starting from as low as RM133 to Medan, RM213 (Phuket) and RM359 (Hong Kong).

Those planning on flying down south can fly with only RM639 to Perth one-way, and RM1,069 to Melbourne (one-way).

Customers heading to Europe can opt to fly one-way to London, Paris or Rome for only RM1,549.

Those who prefer to have logistics taken care of, can also opt for four days, three nights travel packages from MASholidays which are inclusive of return airfare, airport transfers, accommodation and breakfast.

Customers can fly with ease of mind to Bangkok for RM264; Bal(RM424), Beijing (RM487), Sydney (RM754) and the Gold Coast (RM816).

Additionally, customers intending to go on their Umrah and Ziarah journey can opt for MASholidays' travel package from RM4,999 for 14 days/12 nights to Jeddah, with three nights in Madinah and nine nights in Mecca.
