In conjunction of #SayangMalaysia campaign, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia will be organizing photos and short videos competititon on social media with subthemes #MyCuisine from 1 January 2017 until 28 February 2017.
To participate, people need to upload a short video lasts 30 to 60 seconds on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #SayangMalaysia.
The competition offers prizes for the first three and five consolation prizes.
The competition is held to establish Malaysia as a major tourist destination and encourage the participation of domestic and foreign to use social media to share beautiful moments and uniqueness of Malaysia.
During the campaign #Sayang Malaysia, public had the opportunity to participate in the photos and short videos competition throughout the year 2017 with 6 subthemes, as follows:
i. #MyCuisine – January to February
ii. #MyDestination – March to April
iii. #MyCulture – May to June
iv. #MySport – July to August
v. #MyEvent – September to October
vi. #MyFamilyFun – November to December
