
Kota Bharu, MALAYSIA -- Ten countries took part in the one-week Islamic World Trade Expo from 15 - 21 June at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here.
State Economic Planning, Finance and Welfare Committee Chairman Datuk Husam Musa stated of the 10 countries -- Brunei, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Syria -- Iran had the biggest delegation with 60 companies and agencies.
Exhibitors of the expo included Turkey's Mado, maker of reputedly the world's best ice cream, an Iranian motorcycle maker keen to open a factory in Kelantan, as well as producers of Islamic software and computer games.
