Certainly, Malaysia is well known for its fabulous food all over the world. Launching the Fabulous Food 2011, 1 Malaysia Restaurant Food Carnival and Cooking Competition, yesterday (3 October 2011), the Hon. Minster of Tourism, Datuk Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen said that food is an important tourism product for Malaysia to capitalise on in attracting tourists. She added that in 2010, more than RM 9 billion was spent on food and beverages by tourists in the country. This year, the Fabulous Food 2011, 1 Malaysia Restaurant Food Carnival and Cooking Competition, will featurechar koay teow, rending andnasi briyani as its official dishes.
