“Say (O’ Muhammad): Travel on earth and observe how Allah began creation from its origin; then He will recreate it (on Judgment Day) in a new form. Allah is indeed The Most Powerful over everything.”
(Al-Qur’an Chapter 29, Surah Al-Ankabut, Verse 20)
Travelling is very much encouraged in Islam. Through travelling, we get to see Allah’s many wonderful creations up-close, thus appreciate Him more. Travel also has the power to bring people together, as well as enable us to learn many new things such as a place’s culture, history and heritage. For Muslim, traveling is essentially about striking the right balance between their religious obligation and fulfillment of one’s responsibilities as citizen of the world.
