About ITRG

Through the Islamic Tourism Research Grant (ITRG), ITC provides funding to potential researchers from higher institutions in Malaysia who are conducting or supervising research in Islamic Tourism/Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT). 

Through this grant, ITC aims to expand research that will contribute to the formulation and development of policies and strategies for the sustainable growth of Islamic tourism in Malaysia.

Research Area

The proposal must be related to Islamic Tourism and Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH)

Who Can Apply?

Private and public local Higher Learning Institutions (HILs) and research firms

The research must be undertaken for a minimum period of 24 weeks after the Letter of Appointment is received
The research must focus on Malaysia as the primary study area
