From halal products, artisanal crafts to eco-friendly homestays, Malaysia’s tourism MSMEs played a central role in shaping authentic, high-quality visitor experiences.

“ITM 2025 has demonstrated the power of collaboration, creativity, and cultural pride. Malaysia is not only ready for VM2026, we are ready to lead the world in Muslim-friendly tourism,” said the Acting Director-General of ITC, Nur Alyssa Coraline Yussin.

With strong numbers of inbound visitors and coverage across international media, ITM 2025 has elevated Malaysia’s visibility on the global tourism map. The campaign’s success sets the stage for expanded initiatives in 2026, including new certification programmes, digital platforms, and cross-border partnerships.

The success of ITM 2025 aligns with the core principles of Malaysia MADANI, particularly in promoting prosperity through sustainable economic development and cultural respect. The emphasis on empowering MSMEs, encouraging digital innovation and delivering inclusive tourism experiences showcases the government’s dedication to an equitable and value-driven nation building framework that is central to the MADANI vision.

The ITM 2025 Appreciation Ceremony took place at The Westin Kuala Lumpur, with MOTAC Deputy Minister, YB Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan in attendance.
