Kota Bharu, Kelantan, 14 July 2025 – Malaysia has launched the Tourism Mosque Directory and convened the Mosque Tourism Roundtable (MTRT) to further strengthen its position as a global leader in Muslim-friendly tourism.

KLANG, 8 JULY 2025 – The Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) has strengthened Malaysia’s commitment to Muslim-friendly travel through the latest edition of the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance and Recognition (MFAR) Competency Training Programme.

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 JUNE 2025 : Tourism cooperation between Malaysia and Uzbekistan is gaining traction, driven by a shared commitment to Muslim-friendly travel. This strengthening tie took centre stage during Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC)’s latest participation in a sales mission to Tashkent and Samarkand from 9 to 15 June 2025.

SINGAPORE, 12 JUNE 2025: This year marks a significant milestone for the Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC), as Malaysia once again clinches the top position in the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) by CrescentRating, earning the title of ‘Top Muslim-Friendly Destination of the Year’ – an achievement the nation has proudly upheld for a remarkable ten consecutive years since the index’s inception in 2015.

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 MAY 2025: Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) continues its commitment to enhance service excellence in Islamic tourism through its signature Muslim-Friendly Tourist Guide (MFTG) Training Course held from 13 to 15 May 2025 at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. A total of 14 licensed tourist guides under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) participated in the intensive three-day training session.
